The Christian County Historical Society and Museum’s Mission is to preserve, interpret and share the rich and varied heritage of Christian County. We have a strong volunteer base that loves history and is willing to share their knowledge and experiences.
There is someone at the Pence Building every Saturday,
from 10 am – 2 pm to help anyone with genealogy search.

These shirts are now available in the Pence Building at CCHS and at Rebecca’s Antiques. Adult shirts are $18.50 and youth shirts are $12.00.
The Bertram Hopper Foundation Grant that the Christian County Historical Society received is making it possible for much needed plaster repairs in the Morrison House. The Foundation grant for $3000 required the CCHS to match that and set a Goal for the society to raise $6000 and receive another $3000 from the Foundation.
Through fund raising efforts, the CCHS has come close to raising the $6000 from the generous gifts of members. Mark Schultz , a very talented restoration artisan is making the necessary plastic repairs to restore the 1854 Morrison House. The house is expected to be ready for tours by April 2, when the CCHS opens the spring/summer season with the annual Chicken Noodle Dinner.
Anyone wishing to view the progress will be able to see the progress at the Annual Membership Meeting on March 12, at 1 pm in the Pence Building.
